Yua had to wonder why she was still here. All she did was wander, going wherever her feet could take her. The few people that could see her freaked out when they realized what she was. Everyone else in the world, could not. She was lonely, desperate for some sort of interaction that lasted longer than five minutes. She wasn't a scary person. Her red eyes might be a turn off, but that was it.

Yua was now on a Hawaii beach soaking up the sun that probably couldn't see her either! Would she even get a tan without a gigai? Sometimes she wished she had snatched one up before coming to this damned place. At the moment, she was hunting down a hollow that kept vanishing. The other Shinigami that had been assigned to it a few days back had left, so Yua didn't know whether they would be sending another. Because of that, she decided it was her job to take care of it instead. She stood alert, keeping away from the crowds because she was fully dressed in her shihakusho. She was always in this thing, even if it was too damn hot. She dealt with it, like she had to deal with the silence.

Yua was expecting the hollow to have attacked by now, but it wasn't happening. She moved farther away from the crowds, unaware of the two yellow eyes that were on her at the moment. The hollow only attacked souls that were away from crowds and it always seemed to take it's time. The last time Yua saw it, she could have sworn it was having a full on conversation with the soul before it chose to eat. This was an unfortunate situation for one good reason; it wasn't a hollow. Yua confirmed it was a full blown Arrancar when she saw it's humanoid form and wasn't sure whether she could defeat it. If she didn't defeat this evil creature, more souls would become it's victim, so she had to try.

"Hello." a voice took her from her thoughts and she stopped. Yua looked over to see the Arrancar smiling at her and immediately began to panic. She had her Zanpakutō on her, so she grabbed the hilt and was ready to fight, but her hands and feet shook where she stood. "You die today, Arrancar!" she drew her sword and charged, and so the fight began. Yua was skilled with a sword, but this Arrancar was better than her in battle over all. Up until now, Yua had only fought minor hollow, so this was a new and frightening experience. The fact that she couldn't stop shaking in fear wasn't helping her situation either. With one swing, she had messed up. The next thing she knew, her body was being crushed into a large boulder with the Arrancar's foot pushing into her back. "So rude. I wanted to talk."

"YOU'RE CRUSHING ME!" Yua screamed in pain as the Arrancar slammed it's foot into her back over and over again. He was just toying with her and Yua knew it. She should have stayed out of this one! She knew she couldn't defeat it! The Arrancar laughed and Yua glanced back to it. It was about to stomp on her back again. She closed her eyes and awaited the incoming pain, but she heard something happen. She opened her eyes and looked back to the Arrancar who had gotten off balance? She took this chance to crawl away, but it was difficult with the pain. She might have broken a rib or two.

Yua ended up crawling towards the legs of another being and looked up to see a woman standing there. The two looked two each other. Yua was dumbstruck at the sight of another Shinigami. When the woman told her to stay back, she nodded and crawled away from the two. She hid behind a large rock, wincing as she moved. The Arrancar didn't give much more time. As Yua began her crawl away from her fellow Shinigami, the Arrancar charged Kei in anger. "You dare interrupt a man and his meal?" he said and swung a talon-like claw down toward Kei, aiming toward the woman's right shoulder.

"You will be the one I feast on then. Your weak little friend will be the dessert." The Arrancar was a wild fighter concentrated on strength. His abilities don't seem to go outside slashing and clawing, but he does have a sword at his side that he's choosing not to use. His teeth are all sharpened, similar to a sharks. If he chooses to release his Zanpakutō, it is a water type that summons whirlpools of rapidly moving water. Anyone caught within the water will feel it cutting along their skin like hundreds of little blades. Once fully in, it's practically impossible to get out since the water moves so fast.

It's been a long time since Yua saw another Shinigami fight like this. The others she came across were sometimes weaker than she was. The Arrancar turned back to Yua. She was going to run, but before she had the chance to move one foot, the Shinigami had protected her. Yua watched from behind a large rock as the battle went on. The woman was much more skilled than she was, thank god she was here because otherwise Yua would be dead. The fight ended up closer to the water and Yua's curiosity caused her to stand up and move closer to see the fight better as the Arrancar began using the water.

Before Yua knew it, a torrent of water was near her and she was being drawn into it. She fell and attempted to grab onto the sand, but couldn't get a grip. "No, no..." she began panicking and her leg was pulled in. She screamed. She could feel her leg being cut up and the deeper her leg went, the worse the cuts got. Her second leg was pulled in and received a few cuts as well, but it was stopped when she was suddenly grabbed and pulled from the bladed water. Her left leg took the brunt of the damage and that was easily shown. She was breathing heavily, in a lot of pain, and losing blood.

Yua was able to ignore the pain for a few moments when she realized she was being carried. She looked up to the Shinigami that held her and was stuck for a moment. There were too many things flashing through her mind right now. This woman was beautiful, but she was also part of the Gotei. Yua needed to run, but her legs were shredded. Was this woman here to turn her in? She didn't know and didn't seem like it either. "It hurts..." The pain reminded her of her wounds real soon and she began to tremble from it. Yua found herself gripping this woman's shihakusho tightly, but soon passed out.

The cuts were plentiful, but none were so deep that healing took a long time. Within the hour, Yua was healed up and in a bed. Soon, she woke up and looked around a dimly lit room and quickly realized where she was. The panic began to set in and Yua threw the blankets off of herself. She grabbed her Zanpakutō and fled the 4th Division. It hadn't been so long that she didn't know where she was going. She heard the woman who saved her mention being the Lieutenant of the 10th Division, so that's where she would go. She found the woman's quarters and waited there, hoping she'd be safe for a while.

Yua was glad to see the door wasn't locked and hurried in. The woman wasn't home yet, so Yua assumed she was at the 4th. Afraid of being caught, Yua went and hid in the closet. She poked around for a while, but there wasn't much here that interested her. She heard the front door open and sunk herself into a corner behind a few things just in case the woman came in here. When she informed the woman of her presence, she wanted it to be calm. She wanted to get back to the World Of The Living, but maybe breaking in was a bad idea. Yua's decision making was horrible in high stress situations.

The woman had not entered the closet. Yua sighed in relief, feeling that she was in the clear now. She waited a bit, getting ready to reveal her presence when she heard something. It was familiar, but different than what she was used to hearing. Yua moved over to the closest door and quietly opened it, peeking through the crack. Her eyes widened at what she saw. "I came here to ask you something... I don't know what it was. Why can't I remember?!" Yua ruffled her own hair in frustration. She sighed and looked to Kei, checking the woman out once more. "You know... You're a lot nicer than most people in a situation like this. If I were caught by someone else... doing what I was doing, then I would have likely been arrested, beaten... or forced into things along the same lines." The description Kei gave was exactly what Yua feared. The Captain Commander was poisoned by the same thing that was stolen that night. Yua did her best to hide her anger. It was actually very easy because she was too busy watching the emotion Kei was showing right now. She could tell by the shifts of expression, the glossy eyes, and even saw that regret. "You care deeply for Kaminari, don't you?" Yua asked. She was only there for the first couple of months of Kaminari's command over the Gotei. She didn't know her well, but knew of her. "You show it all over your face, Kei. Well, I'm also pretty good at reading people, so that might be part of it. It's too bad... Might have gone lesbian for ya." Yua said. It was meant as a joke to lighten the mood, but there was some author foreshadowing in there.

"Well, if that's the case... I'm going to need your help, but I want you to promise me that you won't use anything against me. I don't want to get in trouble... Can you do that Kei?" Yua asked. If Kei agreed, the Yua will speak up, "The fact that the Twelve Division hasn't identified it yet, is bullshit. They have. They're just not releasing the information on it. The reason I'm not in a Division is because I'm technically a fugitive... I ran away when the guard of the Twelfth wouldn't listen to me about an object of theirs that was stolen a couple of years ago... A poison with the properties that you've just said... They know what it does and they know where it came from. Why? Because it came from their labs. Someone is hiding something and we need to find out who before someone else gets hurt."
