Personality: Sakura has felt completely worthless her entire life. Nothing seems to change this because she fails at a lot of what she does. The biggest achievements in her life were graduating from Shino Academy and gaining her shikai. Though these are huge factors from the perspective of others, Sakura still feels useless and weak. She doesn't show it and is very good at hiding these feelings, but they're there and can be seen at different times if you decided to really look into her eyes.

Sakura's current frustrations come from her inability to advance in the basics of Shinigami fighting styles. Her shunpo is very basic and can be outrun by most people and even hollow. Her Zanjutsu is about the same, nothing special. Her Hakuda is weak because so is she. Her Kidō is always accurate and strong, but only when she's able to get it off. She feels like a failure at this too because she rarely gets them off. They fizzle in her hands and often screw her over, especially while she's in a battle.

Sakura has no confidence in herself. With how much she messes up, no one could really blame her. The problem is that her lack of confidence is what causes her to fizzle. She assumes things aren't going to work for her, so they don't. Sakura also fears being rejected or abandoned. It's why she has no friends and doesn't really try to make any. She'll be kind and talk to people who talk to her, but that's about it. She does think it'll go farther than that and it doesn't usually. Who wants a friend like her?

Character Background: Sakura has never really felt important to anyone, even her own parents. Born and raised in Tokyo Japan, Sakura walked out in front of an oncoming bus after her Mother told her she was worthless. Things haven't gotten better for her since then. She grew up believing in heaven and hell. She knew nothing of Shinigami and the other races that came along with them. Hollows came as most of a surprise. She compared the hollow to souls stuck in limbo. Shinigami were the grim reaper. Arrancar were the demons and devils of hell. A lot of what she head been used to was proven wrong. There really wasn't a heaven or an actual "hell". There was just... The Soul Society.

Suicide was often talked about as selfish or the easy way out. There is nothing easy about it, especially when you realize what is on the other side. What Sakura thought would have been the end to all of her suffering and loneliness was only another world filled with it. The Rukongai did not treat her well. The people were either cruel, cared very little, or fending for themselves. They brought it upon themselves to create families, but if you weren't a part of them, you had nothing and no one. Sakura ended up being one of the few that needed food, one of the more scarce resources in her area of the Rukongai. There seemed only one solution to not suffer, and it wasn't suicide. It was the Gotei 13.

The Gotei 13 wasn't some social club. It was a very important organization with a job to do. Becoming a member was going to be a pain in the ass. Sakura had to figure everything out on her own. She used the knowledge she gained by listening to random conversations, gossip, and tiny bits of advice that some people were kind enough to give. She found out about Shino Academy and knew that was her ticket in. The moment she was able to sign up, she did and started her classes. The foreign concept of controlling and manipulating Reiryoku was something she had to adjust to, but fighting was her forte. She actually enjoyed it and felt like she was releasing a lot of her frustrations while training.

Over four years Sakura was able to successfully move through the required classes to become a Shinigami. After passing the rest of the required tests, she was placed in the Ninth Division. Their first request was the Eleventh, but Sakura actually begged not to be put there. The Captain Commander was, thankfully, kind with this matter and placed her in the Ninth. Two years later, Sakura was able to learn the name of her Zanpakutō and gain her shikai, but it's only a small piece of it. There is much more that Sakura must learn from her Zanpakutō, but she's having a hard time. She could ask someone, but she fears rejection of any kind. It's why she won't ask and will probably keep failing.

Small Note: Sakura was the first person that Captain Commander Hatakeyama placed into their new squad when Kaminari received the position. Sakura has only been in the Gotei for 5 years.


Unreleased Abilities: The fact of the matter is, Sakura could use help in just about everything. The only thing she has down is her control over reiryoku. Rarely do her abilities backfire or go wild. In fact, they never do. When she is able to pull them off, she pulls it off well. Her ability to grasp a concept is fine, however, implementing it is the problem. She has steps 1, 2, 3, and 4 down in her mind, but when she attempts them in actual practice, things often fizzle or don't happen at all.

Zanpakutō Spirit's World: Sakura's inner world is a massive room, but she can only access a small part of it. The part she can access is surrounded by unbreakable glass. On the outside of this glass, where she can't access but only look at, are wooden square blocks that have different items on them. Each of these pieces represent a milestone or important memory in her life. Inside the room she can actually access are also these wooden blocks, but they're mostly empty. Only one is filled and it holds the first piece of her shikai. It's an outfit that grants her different abilities, buffs, and immunities.

Zanpakutō: Her Zanpakutō is always released because it's part of her clothing. It's very supportive to certain parts of her body and acts like a bra, underwear, and is always clean, but it's also very revealing and extremely embarrassing for her. Sakura is always wearing a custom kimono where she merely unravels the sash and the entire thing falls. You can see that in her appearance pictures. However, when it comes to her actual shikai... Shikai Abilities: Sakura's shikai is incomplete. She only has one of the many Tekio's that she will one day have. During combat, Sakura's shikai will change depending on what she needs for that moment. It only takes 1 second for these outfits to activate or change (when she finally gets more than one).

Black Tekio: It's the most basic of her Tekio's and can be seen in the spoiler below. This outfit is has the properties of the highest elasticity. It can stretch up to extremely long lengths, reaching three hundred feet. It is also very strong and Sakura often uses the appendages to maneuver herself throughout a battlefield. The combination of length, elasticity, and strength allows her to use it as a rubber band. She'll often sling shot herself around (both fun and crazy for combat situations). The outfit grants her these buffs: +10 speed, +10 Agility. These numbers may change through advancement.
