    Character Information

    Personality: Saionji or J. Those are the names you will know. He is Captain Saionji of the Sixth Division and J to his family. No one knows him by anything else; some people wonder whether he actually has an actual first name. He does have one, but he's not going to tell you. Telling you his first name means that you're someone important to him, someone he wants to be on a first name basis with, or someone that he trusts and finds worthy enough to know it. This won't happen. There is no one in this world, or the next, that J Saionji finds trustworthy enough to give his first name. Well...

    Until now at least... Maaya Ishino is a new addition to J's life and one that he refuses to live without. J wasn't a man who knew or understood love, but he's getting there. Realizing that he loves waking up with her next to him was the first thing that made J get closer to understanding love. He's still learning about it and keeps making interesting conclusions about it. Things that he has come to know is that he doesn't want to live without Maaya. Maaya makes him want to smile, even though it's hard to do it. Maaya also makes him more anxious than anyone. He doesn't know it yet, but he loves her.

    With a strong sense of duty and responsibility, J Saionji leads his squad with fierce determination. He pushes his Squad to the breaking point. He does this to get the best out of them, to make them realize their potential, and to train them up to his standards. If you are his Lieutenant and are courageous enough to ask him for help, he will have no problem helping you. You will have a problem with it though. You will start and you will hate it. He will insult you, embarrass you, anger you, and he will not hold back his power while he's doing it. And those who hold out will be a better warrior for it.

    Friendship is not on the top of J Saionji's list of important things in life. Over time, people have proven to be weak-willed, overly sensitive, and have no ability to take criticism. He has yet to find someone he could hold a decent conversation with without them becoming offended, defensive, or just storming off like a child. Honesty is something that people don't seem to be able to handle, and Saionji does not see any reason to change his ways. It is not that he doesn't care about these things, it's just that he doesn't want to change himself to accommodate everyone else. He's both stubborn and confident.

    J Saionji is a serious and stoic man over all. He often seems stiff and expresses anger more than anything else. There has never been a time that he has been seen smiling, besides some young female pushing his lips up to force one, and even then he looks angry. His voice is soft spoken, deep, and smooth. He doesn't raise his voice often, but when he does he is angry enough to release his bankai. He always walks with perfect posture and his head held high. He does have this 'holier than thou' attitude, but is always respectful to those who deserve respect. Until proven wrong, this is everyone.

    Everyone has something they put effort into and J Saionji is no different. Ever since a strange day in the world of the living, Saionji has taken very good care of his hair. There was a time he did not care about his appearance and merely kept it cut above his shoulders. That changed when he saw there was someone in the world(s) that looked just like him and grew his hair out. He's become very protective over it. People often ask if they could touch his hair: No. He intentionally keeps it away from people. There are few that he'd let touch it and considers it an assault if done without permission.

    Saionji, when he is not training or helping someone else train, Saionji will be enjoying a nice cup of tea, some reading, and some peace and quiet. He will usually be in his room, away from everyone. If they're bugging him there, he will go into hiding and avoid all contact with any other person. Like everyone else in existence, he deserves a day off every now and then. Rarely does he take one, so when he wants to, he is going to take it and give you a very threatening look if you try to stop him from doing so. Although he doesn't entirely enjoy it, intimidation has proven to be a useful tool.

    Character Background: J Saionji's life has not been that eventful. He's not one of those people that has a horrible background with tragic stories, depressing events, and horrifying experiences riddled into his being. He is very simple. J Saionji was born into one of the noble clans within the Seireitei. He grew up under his Father's rule, raised in a strict environment, but also allowed freedoms that many other clans weren't allowed. One of these freedoms was the ability to choose his wife for himself, not have it arranged. This almost changed when he took too long, but J fought that for years.

    The Saionji are strict, but only in one way: noble is noble and peasant is peasant. Although it sounds like it does, this does not mean that a peasant stays a peasant. Instead, this means that you are who you are. If you want to be a strong man, you will fight to become that strong man. If you wish to be a healer, then you will train yourself to be a healer. If you wish to be a criminal, then that is what you will do. The Saionji make sure that people take responsibility for their actions. Things like poverty or wealth are no excuse to take what does not belong to you or harm others for your own sake.

    This is how J Saionji was raised and he has become a strong believer of it. Everyone has to take responsibility for their actions. If you can become a better person, then you should be doing so. Don't let anyone or anything tell you otherwise or prevent you from doing it. Over the years, J. just trained and trained and trained to become the man his Father wanted him to be. And his training paid off when he entered the Gotei 13, forty years ago, and was immediately placed into the Third Seat position. After that, he took on a few missions and proved himself more, getting him placed as a Lieutenant.

    After a personal issue within the Saionji, a few things were taking care of very secretly. The Saionji did not explain the details to anyone, including the Gotei 13. They did explain that there was an issue, but they would not divulge their personal family issues to the Gotei. If the Gotei 13 had a problem with that, then they could start whatever problem they wanted to start, even though they were reassured that it would not affect anything more than the Sixth Division. When asked about how it would affect the Sith Division, it was made clear that the Division would soon have a new Captain: J Saionji.

    Racial  Abilities

    Unreleased Abilities:

    Zanjutsu: Grandmaster. J is a master of every known Shinigami technique within the zanjutsu style. He has practiced with it for centuries and has perfected it. His skill with zanjutsu is well known and often unmatched by anyone within the Soul Society. His movements are described to be extremely accurate and deadly. J rarely misses a target, an attestment to his skill and speed in one. He is skilled enough to also implement the exact amount of damage he wants to do. J has been known to also practice more efficient zanjutsu techniques in secret. He does this to always have an advantage.

    Hohō: Master. Similar to his skill within zanjutsu, J is extremely skilled in Hohō. The difference is that he is only skilled with a single aspect of Hohō: Shunpo. He sees no need for the other techniques that are within this subject and prefers to concentrate only on his ability in shunpo. He has progressed enough to move great distances in a very short amount of time. J Saionji only needs a single second to be able to cover a few miles and is able to do this a couple hundreds of times in a day.

    Hakuda: Advanced. Every shinigami should know how to fight when they put down their weapon; this is something that J strongly believes in and tries to engrave in his family and Division. The techniques within Hakuda allow this and Saionji has taken advantage of this knowledge and practiced enough to be satisfied. If he is in a fight, rarely will he not have his Zanpakutō by his side, so this isn't something he will use often at all, but someone like J prefers to be prepared. He also finds hand-to-hand combat useful if you are not trying to kill your opponent, so that is what he uses this for.

    Kidō: Advanced/Master - Hadō 1-70 and Bakudō 1-60. These are the spells he knows and that is what he will stick with. For those situations where a sword or fists won't do the trick, this is what he will use. Saionji's Kidō is as accurate for him as he is with a blade, but the amount of power he puts behind these blasts is ridiculous. Some often wonder whether he even has control over his Kidō. It has been decades since a Kidō has backfired on him or anything like that, but there have been times where he was caught training in Kidō after accidentally destroying a large section of an arena. Saionji will never admit to it, but his skill with Kidō is quite lacking. He knows a lot of them and can use them, but his control over their power varies. When he means to do something smaller, he'll accidentally blast out an entire wall. Unfortunately and fortunately at the same time, he never seems to put "too little" power in his Kidō. Instead, he always puts a little too much and damages something he doesn't want to.

    Kneel: This is a spell that comes from his Zanpakutō. He can do it at any time. J will take hold of someone who has disrespected him, his loved ones, or his family. He will hold onto them and tell them to "kneel". When he does, the gravity around their body increases by 100 times in an attempt to force them to kneel. The sudden and immediate gravity increase forces them to their knees. Those weaker may even be forced all the way to the ground and those stronger may try to fight it.

    Zanpakutō

    Zanpakutō Spirit Appearance: Saionji's Zanpakutō Spirit takes on the appearance of a large white female wolf that stands tall enough to look over his head with ease. The wolf has a purple colored diamond in the middle of his head. The wolf does speak, but doesn't move it's mouth or anything like that. Instead, it's more like he is projecting his thoughts outward to the people he is speaking to. The wolf is about eight foot tall with a body and weight that corresponds to it's natural height.

    Zanpakutō Spirit's World: J's inner world is a river of stars. Each step that one takes causes the ground to ripple for what seems like miles, moving on and on around you. The ripples will end, but keep moving on with the farther they get. While standing in there, you are completely surrounded by stars, moons, planets, and suns. It feels like you're staring out into space. Everything feels close enough to touch, but only a few are actually close enough for that. It's actually quite beautiful and represents the unlimited potential everyone has. The colors surrounding are that of dark and light blues, purples, pinks, and bright whites that make up the stars and other things around you.

    J has a master-servant relationship with his Zanpakutō spirit, and he's the master. To gain his shikai and bankai, J had to assert his dominance and defeat Kōkina Ōji. J was surprisingly able to do this very quickly. The years it takes most people to gain their bankai was not something J had to deal with. His complications came with mastering the power to the degree that he has. He and his Zanpakutō spirit have gained a strong and dutiful trust between servant and master. Kōkina Ōji understands J's goals in life and, even if they do not always agree, he respects them. There are times that J will go to Kōkina Ōji for advice, though these occasions aren't very common and are usually delicate situations.

    Zanpakutō Release Phrase: Heel

    Shikai

    Shikai Name: Kōkina Ōji (Exalted Prince; 高貴な王子)
    Shikai Appearance: N/A. No change.
    Shikai Abilities: J's Zanpakutō can manipulate gravity. In his shikai, J is able to increase the gravity on any item that the sharp edge of his blade makes contact with. When he does this, he's essentially increasing the weight of the object. Each time the sharp end of his blade makes contact with an object, whether living or inanimate, their weight is doubled. So if the object weighed 1 pound, it would then weigh 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, and so on.  When J strikes something with the dull edge of his blade, the opposite effect happens and the weight is decreased by the same amount. This means that something that weights 64 pounds would then weigh 32, 16, 8, 4, 2, and then 1. This also means that he can undo the effects of increasing or decreasing weight. This is fun for training his Division members.

    Bankai

    Bankai Name: Ō no ryōiki (The King's Domain, 王の領域)
    Bankai Appearance: N/A. No Change.
    Bankai Abilities: J's bankai creates an arena of increased gravity. The gravity causes everything within it to be 2 times heavier than normal. This does not effect J himself. However, after that initial increase of gravity, for every post after that, his opponent must add half of his original weight to their bodies. This effect also goes on items like clothing and weapons. An item/person that weighs 10 pounds will weigh 15, 20, 25 and so on. J only takes half of this effect, but it does affect him. Using the example from before, if J weighed 10 pounds, he will then weigh 12.5, 15, 17.5 and so on.
